Rockingham Dermatology, PC, is a small private practice located in Harrisonburg, Virginia with Dr. Carolyn I. Miller, MD as the sole Practitioner. We opened in 1998 after Dr. Miller relocated here from Marion, Va. We treat diseases of the skin only. Our office does not perform cosmetic procedures at this time.

Office Hours

Our office is open Monday through Friday 8:30-4:30. We close for lunch between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm.

As a courtesy, we ask that you allow 48 hours’ notice for cancellations.

Insurance

We accept a wide variety of insurances. Please check with your insurance carrier to see if a referral is needed and if we are in-network. If a referral is needed it is the responsibility of the patient to ensure that their Regular Doctor provides that. Failure to do so could result in higher out-of-pocket expenses to the patient. If we are out of network with your insurance we will gladly file your claim with the insurance, but you will not receive an in-network deduction and any remaining balance will be the responsibility of the patient.

Please be assured that we have very strict policies to protect the privacy of your medical records and billing information.

Prescriptions

If you require a prescription refill request, please call your pharmacy and ask them to fax a refill request to our office. Our fax number is: (540) 442-8022. If you have not been seen in this office in more than a year, a follow-up may be required for refills. Many medications require prior authorization and our office will contact your insurance company to receive approval for the medication you desire. Please allow 3 business days for a normal prescription refill. Do not wait until you are out of medication.
